The Ramones: fathers of the punk

the legendary punk band, the ramones created in the mid 70,s in queens, new york, united states by 4 guys who only wanted get out the rage what they felt in their souls. These guys, jeff hyman(joey ramone), john cummings(jhonny ramone),douglas colvin(dee dee ramone) and thomas erdely(tommy ramone)decided in 1974 make a band, where joey was the vocalist, jhonny the guitar player, dee dee the basist and tommy as drummer. they started playing in forest hills, where they were from. after, they played in the famous place called CBGB in new york city. there, several people meet their music that it was not so good and clear. they started to improve and still playing in the CBGB, they made their first album "ramones" which inluded the most important and representative song, also known as the himn of the band "Blitkrieg Bop".

this song inmediatly was in the taste of the public, people got a connection with the band since the forst note of the song and it was a way to express the opression lived in that age. they became very famous and known for this song. after of the success of the first album, they recorded several more ones.

all are awesome, but there are some that were like an art piece like:

-Ramones
-it,s alive(recopilation)
-road to ruin
-end of the century WOW
-too tough to die
-brain drain
-mondo bizarro
-adios amigos( the last one, 1996)

these album were, according to me the best ones of the best in the ramones career, they inspired a lot of nowdays bands liek greenday, nirvana, the strokes,etc.

The ramones marked an age, where teenagers and society were opressed by goverment, they gove to young people a weapon to get out all that frustration and tell to goverment and opressors.

'School of Rock' Kid Arrested for Underage DUI in Michigan

17-year old Joey Gaydos arrested at South West Michigan.

Last month the actor/musician who played Zack Mooneyham in the movie 'School of Rock' was charged with driving under the influence in Michigan. Joey Gaydos, Jr. played the student guitarist in the 2003 comedy that featured actor Jack Black. The Van Buren Township police said they arrested Gaydos as he tried to drive away from a local Taco Bell restaurant. The 17-year old was booked on charges of underage DUI.

The Golden Compass Review

well, this is a review about the golden compass movie starring by nicole kidman and dakota blue richards(lyra).

Background: the story is set in jordan college in oxford in an alternate universe where an adventure story is being developed. the main characters are:

1. lira belacqua: the main character who has to find the truth about children kidnapping , two of them her friends roger and billy costa.

2. Mrs coulter: this is a woman who has a strange interest in lyra, mainly to get the golden conpass.

3.lord asriel: is lyra,s uncle who wants to know more about "the dust", a strange sustance whose coming from paralel universes.

4. Lee Scoresby: is a texan aeronaut who offers to help lyra for a favour, help him with a friend.

5. lorek Byrnison: is lee scoresby,s friend, who is working in a town because he lost a battle and he was exiled from his home.



Main body: this story take place in jordan college in oxford in a paralel universe, where lyra belacqua, an orpahn girl lives. one day her friends begin to dissaper mysteriously and she starts a quest for 2 of all that children, roger and billy costa. before she starts her quest she meet a woman called mrs coulter, who develops a strange interest on her. lira begin her quest to find her friends with the help of a magical device, a golden compass that guide her to know the truth. she knows a texan aeronaut called lee scoresby who offers help her if she does something for him, help him with a friend, lorek byrnison, a bear who is working ina town cause it was exiled from its home due to it lost a battle. lyra with her new friends begins a journey to find her lost friends. she has to pass a lot of dangerous situations. finally she finds her friends and she stops people who kidnapped her friends.




General comments: well, the movie was fine, it was fun, interesting and with emotions, not better than the lord of the rings but acceptable.


recomendation: well, i think i would recommend it because it,s an interesting story
and at least for people who likes adventure movies it would be a good choice.

ice cores have shown changes in gases levels like carbon dioxide.

ppm is a unit of measurement used for a very low concentrations of gases.

the atmosphere is the layer which protects the earth of dangerous sunrays.

the temperature of the earth has increased due to the global warming.

solar radiation is very dangerous for humans skin causing several skin diseases.

if it weren,t for the greenhiuse effect the earth would be a chill place.

the ozone layer is a very important defense for us.
